Shot of the week for the week of 07.31.11

This shot was intended for an Overjoyed Eats post, but it turns out, these were the only shots I took that week! It kind of sums up that week, though--so busy studying that all I had time to cook/eat/photograph was a batch of simple "Mercy Noodles". Mercy Noodles are a dish we frequently consumed in college (named after the housemate who introduced us to the simple meal). Asian noodles, soy paste (I used thick, sweet soy sauce, since that's what I had), black vinegar, sesame paste and sriracha. Yum.
