Book Review

I really enjoyed it. I didn't realize how sucked into it I was until I was suddenly almost done with it. Normally I don't care for the whole flashback type of story telling, but I thought this was done pretty well. It was fluid, and neither timeline detracted from the other. My favorite little blurb is from the Chicago Tribune, "Compelling...Vivid." It really is slyly compelling, and can be quite vivid at times. I think my favorite thing about this book though (which I didn't find out until after I finished) was that Gruen actually included some "real" circus events in her storyline.
