Back from the Dead + Wedding Cake

It's been a long time since I've posted an update. I wish I had a better excuse, but honestly, life just got away from me. I could barely keep up with converting all my photos to jpeg (I shoot RAW), let alone blog about them.

I do like that I can look back on my previous blog entries and be reminded of what was going on in my life at the time. It may not be all that interesting, but it's nice to have a record, none the less.

That said, I'm going to try to bring this thing back up. I'll be back blogging a bit, so I apologize ahead of time that some of these post will be old news.

Ok, now on to wedding cake, or in this case, anniversary cake!

When we got married, A and I loved our wedding cake baker so much, we decided that we would order a cake from there every year to celebrate our anniversary.

That's the smoothest buttercream I've ever seen. Ever.

The cake was one of the three flavors we had on our actual wedding cake--triple vanilla cake with fresh strawberry filling. If you don't like your frosting super sweet, our baker is the way to go. Her buttercream is dense feeling, but the flavor is light like whipped cream. Delish.

Happy three years, hun! I look forward to many more years to come...and not just for the cake. :-)
