Wedding Dialogues: Vol 1

Three years ago, we got married. A month or two later, we received all our digital files from our photographer. Three years later, I finally got around to editing some of those files. Whoops. Time flies, right? Note: Our photographer DID edit some of our photos, but not all of them. We received a DVD of almost 2000 unedited jpeg files along with our finished, edited album (which is a thing of beauty, let me tell you).

My free trial of Lightroom expired last night, so it was my last chance to edit my wedding photos (darn jpegs are so difficult with Elements 6) since I know I'm not going to drop $300 for Lightroom any time soon. I didn't have a lot of time, so I pulled up a folder labeled "FAVORITES" and edited the 200 pictures inside it. I may have missed some great ones, but I wont know until I check the other folders. I'm not checking any time soon.

Tangents. Sorry.

Anyway, I'm not planning to do a wedding recap three years later, so don't worry. What I am going to post is some of the photos from the dancing portion of our reception. Dancing photos get very little love in the grand scheme of wedding photos, and since our photographer did this weird thing where there are light streaks all over the place, dancing photos from our wedding got almost no love. However, I did love this series of dancing shots of my brother and my friend (his girlfriend, but she was my friend first! :-P).

Bro: C'mon, Kara! Let's dance! C'mon!
Kara: Ohmygosh! I'm gonna fall!

Bro: That was fun. Okay, slow dance time.

Kara: Awww, you're so sweet. Let's take a picture!
Bro: Cheese!

Bro: Can I see me? I wanna see me!

Bro: Yea...that was a nice picture.
Mom: Hahaha! Jeremy's so funny.

All photos taken by our wedding photographers: Michael Trinh Photography (formerly ZhaPhoto)

All edits done by me using Lightroom 3.2. Sidenote: These were shot using a Canon DSLR, and I noticed that a lot of the shots had a weird grayish cast to them that was really hard to edit out. In a lot of cases, I couldn't get rid of it completely. I haven't come across many unedited Canon DSLR shots before, so I don't know if this is common. Anyone with a Canon DSLR know if this is common? How do you get rid of it?
